The building alone is worth the visit. The history exhibited in the building was well done. Learned so much, better understanding of the RGV and its people.
Love that the museum has all different types of events that involves everyone. During these events it involved different types of activities that help promote the local culture. The museum invites schools to have field trips so the students learn of all the local culture.
I don't feel it have as broad of an overview of Brownsville history as the Stillman House, but it was still informative and had its own draw with the locomotive on display, which was pretty cool. The Spanish Revival architecture was also worth checking out....More

The building is worth the visit. The architecture has been preserved and is restored beautifully. Visit the creepy bedroom, the old wood burning train engine, and relive the battlefield at Palo Alto.
