They now are part of the Brownsville Historical Association. They are well-managed now and they offer events on a consistent basis. I love the way the architecture is designed and the professional staff is top-notch.

The Historic Brownsville Museum is inside the old Southern Pacific Railroad Depot. I never went inside the Museum, but I loved the Building. Almost 100 years old (built in the late 20s) it is full of extravagant details. On Madison on the edge of downtown.

The building alone is worth the visit. The history exhibited in the building was well done. Learned so much, better understanding of the RGV and its people.

Love that the museum has all different types of events that involves everyone. During these events it involved different types of activities that help promote the local culture. The museum invites schools to have field trips so the students learn of all the local culture.
