Hot day but overall a great trip. Unfortunately the crater was so overgrown you couldn’t tell it was there but still very enjoyable for the whole family.

It was still a short but informative visit with an excellent short film that explained the battle. We learned about the crater battle which was all new to us.

I didn’t expect a whole lot when I went to the little visitor’s center but got educated very quickly. The Ranger was an excellent teacher and guide. He related the history so well and then the movie, 18 minutes I believe, is something you will...More

The museum and the movie were good. The driving tour was okay. There were a lot of earth works and of course the crater is here.

You should give yourself at least 4 to 5 hours to be able to get a good view through the park. I would try to be out of the park by 5 pm.
