Awesome old manor house with a wonderfully dark history. Be sure to check out the escape tunnel that runs to the Appomattox in the basement. Great examples of locally made furniture for the antique enthusiast!

Tour brief but informative. Enjoyable and educational. The only downfall was that one of the female employees went out of her way to be a snothead.

This place is beautiful and full of history. There is an underground walkway that leads from under the house to the nearby river. Beautiful.

Having toured a few historic homes, this one is pretty neat. You start in the basement for an intro to a tobacco baron family history. Depending on which guide you get, some go into more detail then others but none are disappointing. Once you move...More
