This was our destination to get us into downtown, old town. As a reptile lover and snake believer, I was trilled to find a true expert on rattlesnakes. Absolutely beautiful exhibits, lovingly cared for snakes, and knowledgeable owner, I would go back in a heart beat. A must see for kids of all ages, I could have spent two more... More

A little corny but so is much of Old Town and if you love snakes, a fun 15 minute stop. This sort of tourist trap does offer a small museum full of live rattle snakes for a modest additional fee. It feels like the old west inside and worth a look for the kids especially.

Snakes will send me out of my shoes so my wife thought I was having a mental issue when I said lets go in. We both found the museum very educational and interesting, spending more time than either of us expected. While the building is small there is a lot of rattle snakes and snake related stuff packed in. In... More

The Rattlesnake Museum is the labor love for the curator Bob. His passion and fasination with snakes makes this a must see. I would encourage anyone to take tour and spend time talking with Bob.

Quite an interesting place to visit and see several different types of snake. Probably half and hour is enough but you could stay for an hour if it's really your thing.

You have to enter the gift shop in order to get in the museum. The owner is very friendly and very knowledgeable, so take a little time to chat; it’s a great start to your visit. Once you’re in the museum, there is a lot to see: many rattle snakes (of course!) but also some other reptiles and all kind... More

The good: There is a wide variety of rattlesnakes and other types of snakes. There is a great deal of educational material about each type of snake. This museum is located in a very neat district with several shops and restaurants. The bad: The snakes are all in small, non-enriching aquariums. The snakes will live out their lives well fed,... This little museum does not look like much from the outside but there is quite a bit of variety in reptiles. The animals appear to be well-cared for and each display provides information about the habitat and habits of the snake. Though I am not a fan of snakes I felt this would be a good opportunity to learn about... More
