My boyfriend and I recently did a trip to ABQ. The zoo was one of our last visits in the city. We originally thought "nah, we don't need to do another zoo in another city", but then a local told us about having a tasmanian devil! We decided we had to go. Bummed because the little guy spent more time... More

Love, love, love this zoo! There are a nice variety of animals and the exhibits are first class. The thing I love most about this zoo is the large park in front of the amphitheater where families can sit on the grass in the shade and enjoy a picnic lunch. This makes an outing to the zoo so family friendly... More

This a great zoo for a city the size of Albuquerque. They are getting ready to do some renovating. They have concerts here in the summer.

Our family loved this place. Great prices, spent the whole day here. Lots to see and do. My son was entertained the whole day. Even the food prices are acceptable. Big field for a picnic, easy parking.

There are always new animals coming to the zoo. Well tended with clean cages and areas. Cougar Country is fabulous. Take your time and enjoy every aspect. Train ride, good food and good trainers and docents.

It was a nice small zoo, definitely designed for families and nicely landscaped. Animal variety was a bit limited but hey ABQ is not as big as San Diego. The signs could be better and it would be nice is they would have the sillouette of the animal on the sign so when you can't see the animal in the... More

I've visited this zoo on 2 occasions with my young grandson while visiting our daughter's family. Both experiences were positive. The areas appear to be clean and the animals well cared for. It was a brisk spring morning and the sun was shining, so the animals were active. This trip we began with the tropical area and moved through Asia... More

We got there 30 minutes after opening and most of the animals weren't even out yet. They were being cleaned. We had to make the circle again to see the monkeys. I think the best part was seeing the bald eagle. A lot of the animals here are rescued, the eagle's caretaker came out to tell us that she was... More

worth a visit. Some exhibits were not open, I suppose that can happen at any time for maintainence, etc. For the most part, it is laid out very well, that most of the time while you are walking you are able to see an exhibit. Clean, ample restrooms.

Family with young children and teenagers. Entry fees are more than reasonably priced. One of the best zoos we have visited. The exhibits are laid out in a way that make you feel very close to many of the larger animals...like silverback gorillas, hippos, chimpanzees, giraffes, and more. We were able to see the baby hippo and set of baby... More
