One of the most modern American treasures. This route is the symbol of America's love for the automobile. Large neon signs and statues flank both sides of the route.

The best section is in Tucumcari but the abq part is pretty solid. It's been tatted up but you can still see what once was.

Great driving experience, just got a new Benz convertable and this made the drive even better. Lots of places to stop along the way, Trading Posts and shops, gorgeous scenery, This is the best of Route 66!

Where should we start our drive on route 66? We'll be staying at the Sheraton Uptown, or we may head to route 66 after leaving the balloon fiesta. Any suggestions? Where should we stop to shop? Eat? Thanks!
