Nothing cold and clinical about this book shop. Once inside the doors, you are surrounded by the vibrations of cerebral adventure! Books are high, books are low, books are all around you. Every nook and cranny pulses with books of all sizes, shapes and colors. A must stop if you are a bookie!

They have a great selection of local books at Bookworks. They have events with authors all the time. It is a living reflection of what readers want. The sales people know books. Hats off to Danielle and Wyatt in addition to all the staff.

We stopped in here while visiting family in Albuquerque, it is a fantastic, independent book store. There is quite a bit of variety considering the size/location, and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend stopping by.

Whenever my wife and I visit Albuquerque we shop in this bookstore. Always find some interesting books to buy. Love the selection and the feel. It's the way bookstores used to be: eclectic selection with a knowledgeable staff. Unfortunately, there are few of these bookstores still in business. Added bonus of a Flying Star restaurant next store.

My children, ages 2 and 4, and I attended our first Bookworks children's hour last week, held Thursdays at 10:30 am. It was delightfully organized! The theme was feet and toes, so all the books had a reference to this, like Dr. Seuss' The Foot Book, for example. Overall, the leader read about 5 - 6 books. There was also... More

Your old fashioned, down home, floor to ceiling, wall-to-wall bookstore with, every time I've visited, a great staff.

I love Bookworks! When you walk in, you are immediately surrounded by shelves & shelves of books. It smells like books! There plenty to look at & I always go home with a couple interesting reads. Most of all, I love that Bookworks supports the local community with a number of events, including book clubs & signings. Overall, a very... More

Don't miss this wonderful store, both for books, but also the best cards, gifts, etc. it is in a very hip shopping center with other great stores and an outdoorsy crowd at the Flying Star restaurant.

Bookworks is not owned and operated by a corporation. What usually comes along with that is that sometimes the book I'm seeking will not be on their shelves, but so what? They'll order it if I want them to. B&N didn't always have the book I wanted, neither does the local library so my expectations are not so outrageous when... More
