The Anderson- Abruzzo International Balloon Museum is a wonderful tribute to two New Mexico ballooning pioneers. It chronicles the history of ballooning from the late 18th century when it was introduced in France to the current century, where balloon races and other events take place...More

Couldn't be in ABQ for the Balloon Fiesta but wanted to learn more about the sport. Good information and displays. Enjoyed the hands on activities. Skip the 4D movie - expected it to be about ballooning but it was a plane/drone? flying around the balloons....More

In Albuquerque for the Hot Air Balloon Festival, we had to visit this museum to learn the history of ballooning. The many exhibits and gondolas on display gives viewers a real feel for what it would be like to fly high under a balloon. You...More

Our group had an incredible time at the Balloon Museum. The exhibits are colorful and interactive and it would be a great place to bring children. The views out the expansive windows are amazing and I highly recommend taking a real balloon ride. This is...More

Over the 2 weeks of the festival you have a chance to see all kinds of balloons and events. Mass Ascension in the morning, glows at dusk, chasing balloons as they move around "the Box", you can even arrange a ride yourself.

This is a small museum that devotes very little to the history of ballooning beyond a few models, a couple of actual gondolas, and pictures of ballooning. We were disappointed that it was not more inclusive of the history of ballooning. It does have a...More

The displays of real-life sized balloons, space capsules, videos, photographs, and hands-on working displays, can infuse excitement, for the world of ballooning. There is a...More

We really enjoyed this museum. Lots of history. I liked the patches and hat pins on display. And posing for pictures in the basket of a balloon with clouds in the background looks like we were in a balloon in the photograph.
