I made the scenic drive and hiked two small trails. I saw plenty of birds, deer, fish, and other wildlife. I look forward to renting a cabin and trying the campground.

This place is a treasure for the beltway, a very large park with a big variety of hiking trails for scenery and history, and a nice variety of difficulty. Plus camping and a very nice visitor center. It's a bit monotone right now (mid April)...More

You have to pay to enter, but I got in for free with my park pass. Nice trails and staff. Small gift shop sells souvenirs and postcards.

The scenic driving trail is lovely and makes an easy drive. There are 37 miles of trails, many of which connect or intersect at points to allow you to create your own paths through the park. We created a 7-mile circuit by combining portions of...More

We only did the drive through portion of the park, and viewed the camp area, day use and picnic areas. We also stopped to tour a small cemetery on the grounds. Also saw a deer! It would be nice to bike through this park.

Roads and trails are well maintained. This time of the year is beautiful. However, Any time is a prize winner. Along with the beautiful area, you can view the area where the OSS trained during WWII. The OSS eventually became the CIA.

Visited this wooded National Park late Saturday in October. Anticipated doing a bit of bird watching & maybe short hikes to see changing leaves & wildlife. Saw no birds & found the park not suited to seniors. At the main visitor center we found a...More

This place is so beautiful I ended up staying too late and getting lost in the dark and rain. I was lucky I was well prepared. This is a wonderful magic place. It has a multitude of different environments to explore. The trails are relatively...More

I live close and joined the National Parks system so I could hike this forest whenever I wanted. This forest has great, easy trails perfect for a short 30-minute hike or a 1/2 day excursion. There are enough climbs and descents, as well as water...More

My wife and I enjoyed a nice hike using the quantico falls trail, and to call it a "falls" is optimistic at best. Very peaceful walk amidst the trees. Not much wildlife seen or heard on that trail today. The trails are well marked. The...More

If you are 62+ there is a one-time fee of $10 for a pass and it is good for all National Parks (Federal Recreations sites). Best to get the pass at the park at present (Aug 2017) as there is a current backlog of online... More
