Right next to a National Park. Free parking right on the beach and overflow just up the road. We were lucky to watch the local canoe club taking off. There are tide pools filled with little fish & turtle perfect for little ones to toddler...More

Manini is a small, grassy park with a couple of picnic tables. It's often used by friendly locals, stretched out on the grass relaxing, reading and or napping. The occasional winter time storm can make for bigger waves that local surfers live for. Most of...More

There is no "beach" but a rocky area where you can sometimes get into and out of the water. Wonderful photo spot for Kealakekua bay but Captain cook's Monument is far away, across the entire bay. A very difficult little spot to find and very...More

Great quiet location with scenic views of Kealakekua Bay and Captain Cook Monument. Good surfing at low tide and nice snorkeling when surf is flat. Limited parking and hard to find but worth the journey.

Lovely spot...individuals in the neighborhood lovingly care for this place. Off the beaten path so not a ton of tourists. Snorkeling was beautiful, easy in and out, lots of fish and coral. Grassy area with benches to relax and enjoy the secluded Bay. You can...More

The park is grassy and has a swim area. Be careful of the waves crashing you into the lava rocks. But, once you swim out further into the bay, the snorkeling views of the reef are incredible. Can't wait to go back.

This beach was within walking distance of our Halakealua Bed and Breakfast. Each day we walked to the beach, snorkeled, lazed around and enjoyed life. The treat was the group of ladies I met there. They are a part of "friends of the Beach". Francis...More
