Great quiet location with scenic views of Kealakekua Bay and Captain Cook Monument. Good surfing at low tide and nice snorkeling when surf is flat. Limited parking and hard to find but worth the journey.

The park is grassy and has a swim area. Be careful of the waves crashing you into the lava rocks. But, once you swim out further into the bay, the snorkeling views of the reef are incredible. Can't wait to go back.

Hi is there a sandy beach? I'm bringing my kids and wanted a place to play on shore when they tire of snorkeling. Thanks
