Fun little side trip. Unlimited free samples of mac-nuts and coffee, difficult to stop nibbling. Great place to pick up souvenirs and gifts for family. There is a viewing window of the factory and packaging, which shows just how small this operation is.

This past week we visited the Hamakua Macademia Nut Co. twice during our stay in the Waimea area. The nut factory has a great visitor center, with a gift shop and an area to view factory operations of packaging mac nuts and making candy. The gift store had great displays with samples of all the different nut products, such as... More

Went to buy gifts but was intrigued with all the delicious flavors they have to offer. Enjoyed lookinh at the kitchen setup and all the nuts. Thet carry local coffee and have a small ice cream area for cones or sundaes.

We were glad we stopped here. They have the store and gift shop but you can also watch the macadamia nuts being processed. They also have a video about the facility. There are samples of nuts and coffee. They even have Spam flavored nuts. We liked the fact that they had many flavors of macadamia nuts - onion, wasabi, chili,... More

We stopped on our way around the island and it was very easy to find. Tons of parking and easy access. This is a large showroom with a wide variety of products relating to macadamia nuts, plus an opportunity to view the production process at your leisure. Definitely some unusual items and work stopping to see.

This place is cute. They have samples everywhere and a view of the machines in back. Nice choices for buying macadamia nuts. I had fun tasting. If you are on your way up to Hawi or north way not a bad stop.

Learn how macadamia nuts are grown, processed, packaged, and sold. Plenty of free samples makes this a great stop.

Hamakua macadamia nut factory was not in production while we were there, however the gift store was open to the public to sample and purchase approximately 30 different flavours of macadamia products. It's off the beaten track but worth the visit. Between mile markers 4 and 5 on highway 270.

Nice stop if you are in the area. Lots of samples to try. We purchased gifts to take back. They have choices in all different sizes. There is also a window so you can see some of the packaging are toffee area.
