We took this road on our way from Denver to Ester and back, and it did not disappoint. When we drove it this Spring, there still some snow left on the side road but it sunny and a clear day. We enjoyed the overall sceneries...More

This is the one route I send out of town visitors on to see the best of the Rockies in a day trip. It has scenery, small towns, breweries, distilleries, hiking and shopping. You can add an overnight in Estes Park and add a day...More

Driving over to Estes Park we decided to take the Peak to Peak Byway and it was a gorgeous day to do so. The views of the peaks and the wildlife are incredible.

I have been driving this route on and off over 40 years. Although the traffic is a little heavier than the first trip, the scenery is always spectacular.

Passing through three counties, Larimer, Boulder & Gilpin, the Peak to Peak offers spectacular scenery from Estes Park to Blackhawk, Central City and beyond. A well-engineered highway, it is a great drive in any season and can generally be covered in about two hours, one...More

Beautiful drive from Estes Park to Lyons. Lots of rock formations and scenic canyons with a river meandering through.

This is a great day's outing with spectacular scenery, quaint towns, friendly people along the way. One glaring problem...the road surface from Meeker Lodge to Longs Peak Inn is HORRIBLE and a disgrace perpetrated by the CDOT. Promised resurfacing in 2017 was incomplete, the worst...More

Driving down this beautiful road made us want to move to Colorado! This is a very easy drive, so those who are unfamiliar with driving on the right (like me!) will encounter no problems.

If you like to meander, take this Byway and enjoy some fabulous fall color in season. Be aware others have the same idea so you have to be careful at certain spots, as some folks don't have much common sense on the road. But very...More

This is the route to take from Denver to Estes Park. Such a beautiful drive and it seemed a less rushed way to Estes Park from Denver. Slow done, take your time. Enjoy the views of RMNP.

The scenery is great year-around and right after a fresh snowfall would be special. Of course, if it is snowing heavily while you are on the road, use caution. As you approach Estes Park from the south, watch for the... More

Regarding a previous reply, the Peak to Peak highway does NOT close "due to snow". It is not a seasonal road. Also, read this review by TA member CMN 14: We took this drive from Central City to Estes Park in a large... More

Yes there is smoke haze. There are webcams for Estes Park & RMNP but TA won't let me post the link. Just Google. In the future, you'll get quicker replies if you post in the Estes Park forum.
