Unfortunately we went when the Hydroplant was closed. I wish it would state in their ads, when they are open. From the outside it looked neat and provided a beautiful view along the river!

This is the electric plant for the town of Estes Park and the Stanley Hotel. My father the scientist brought me here. I probably would not have found the site otherwise. Very interesting.

Was worth the stop to see and learn about the power supply of days gone by as brought by Stanley to originally provide electricity to his hotel. Docent knowledgeable. Could even be better with old photos framed, hung and labeled with dates on the walls.
