Santa's reindeers don't hold a candle to the fine horses at NPGS. We are a family of six with our kids aging from 8 to 17 and had a really great first time experience. The staff was able to pair each family member with a well mannered patient horse that took us on a two hour excursion. The scenery was... More

We allowed our two teenage daughters to do a 4-hour trail ride without us. The guide was knowledgeable about RMNP, but was a college student, and apparently liked to talk about his drinking prowess. Really?! That's not appropriate with two under-age riders (in a trail group of 4). Otherwise, they enjoyed the ride a lot; their horses were good, and... More

I recently went on a 2 hour ride with some friends. It was a great time! We had a guide who was out visiting from Aimes, Iowa. She was really laid back, had great little bits of trivia and made the ride nice and enjoyable. It's great riding in RMNP! I highly recommend this place for riding. I have been... More

The horses were friendly and well-behaved, and our guide had a good command of his lead. We took the 2 hour meadow trail, which provided a good survey of a few types of terrain (from forest to meadow and back). This felt like a behind the scenes view of RMNP, as the trail goes through less trafficked areas. Helpful hint:... More

We have ridden horses in Estes Park in the past. We chose this company due to the high tripadvisor rating. The guide was nice and our family of four was the only group on our trip which was also nice. The horses seem well cared for and were cooperative. However we were disappointed that the mountain views were not as... More

This is our second time taking a 2 hour ride with this stable through the National Park and we have nothing but good things to say about them. The trail has beautiful scenery! Our kids, 9, 7, and 4 had an excellent experience on very gentle horses (we did this 5 years ago when our oldest was 4 and it... More

We took out two little ponies (Cookie and Skittles) for half an hour with our 3 year old and 4 year old. We led the ponies out along the trail ourselves which was lovely. The ponies were well kept and well behaved. A fun excursion.

I was going off of all the amazing TA reviews so I'm wondering if it was just an off night when we went. We loved the gorgeous setting of our 2 hour trail ride but our guide, Caroline, was very bland. She seemed completely annoyed with our 6 year old daughter right off the bat. She had the old horse... Having experienced another ride in the area, I expressly chose this ranch for the meadow ride offered. Fabulous, and stunning visual experience. Lovely guide, proper attention to safety was given and the horses were well cared for and good trail horses. Thumbs up all around! 😊

My boyfriend and I did the dinner ride. The horses were beautiful and seemed to be well kept. It was almost a 2 hr ride followed by a 25% off dinner at the trailhead restaurant which was nice. The problem with our experience was our guide. She stayed turned around on her seat the whole time talking to me, mainly... More
