This was a nice museum, but also less than we had expected. First, the museum itself exists in two parts. The first is a former synagogue, and the second is dedicated to the Holocaust, other genocides, and persecution. The synagogue part of the museum, which...More

We found the Jewish Museum to be a grea introduction to the history of the Jews in Tucson. Who knew that the first Jews arrived there in 1860! Davia Cohen gave us a very comprehensive talk.

If you have a couple of hours in Tucson, you can't miss this opportunity. I took my 8th graders on a field trip to this beautifully done learning center. The docents were amazing! The exhibits were exceptional! Please don't miss out on this opportunity.

I had never been in a synagogue before, so that was pretty neat. Learned some interesting history about the Jewish presence in the area, and the mistreatment of various people groups around the world. The one thing that disappointed me in the Holocaust museum was...More

I will be taking out-of-town family here! I went with my son's middle school, and I was very impressed. It's small, but both stops (the holocaust museum and the old temple) are worth visiting and filled with interesting things to look at and think about....More

To learn about the history of the Jewish people in Tucson, you must pay a visit to the now Jewish History Museum. They have restored the stained glass windows, have displays of Jewish culture, civic participation, and a newly built Holocaust museum next door. ,
