Easy to ride through

It is an easy ride as the campus is in a compact area. It is a lovely campus and many students ride bikes.

If you go to Tucson do not miss a chance to spend time on the U of A campus. Gorgeous buildings set amid palm trees and manicured grass lawns. There is an electric trolley to take you from one end to the other. This is one of the prettiest campuses I have seen and some of the architecture is stunning... More

The U of A campus has some lovely buildings and grounds. But more important is the quality of its faculty, which is top notch (speaking from a collegial standpoint as tenured faculty at a different university). Students fortunate enough to attend U of A will hopefully make the most of their time there as they have some of the best... More

Fun afternoon biking from our hotel through the campus. School was out for holidays but enough people were around to help us with directions or make suggestions for a better route or view.

U of A campus is nice enough, but it is downtown Tucson and therefore has those types of limitations - such as traffic congestion and lots of asphalt. On hot days that makes it HOT! The USS Arizona memorial is a new addition and nice enough.

The entrance offers a beautiful, historical view of the campus. Many of the older, original buildings are museums and show how the campus once looked. Lots of trees to enhance the beauty.

My recommendation is centered on walking the campus in daytime. The UA has a remarkable tree collection. These are in many cases planted here and there in no particular order. It is kind of a walk and be surprised affair. Some are labeled some are not but most are beautiful. There are 3 Boo Jum trees in the garden area... More

The University of Arizona has two museums and two theaters. All of them are constantly changing to offer new things.
