This is a great lookout when visiting Tucson as you can see the entire city and the surrounding mountains. Take time to check it out if you are in town or just want to appreciate the view. Good for hiking early in the morning but...More

Over the past 40 years of residency we have brought many visitors here. It is not as impressive as viewing from particular spots in the Catalina Mountains but it is closer to central Tucson. Unlike the El Paso viewing spot, it is relatively free of...More

The drive from the city is short. It is cool to see the A that was constructed in 1915. There are places to pull off to get a view. The hick to the summit was fun but there is broken glass everywhere.

It's easy and quick to locate as it is just about 5 minutes from downtown, and offers really cool views of the city and surrounding area. Definitely worth checking out if you are here for any more than a couple days.

Anyone who lives in Tucson can tell you about the drive up to A Mountain. I have gone again and again. My grandchildren love it, as do I.

Driving to the top is not for the fainthearted but well worth it for the views at the top. Excellent walkways and lookouts at the top. Very interesting history of the location as well. The drive back down was significantly less nerve wracking! :)

Best place to get spectacular view of the city and the surrounding area. Best take a map if your not a local to pinpoint the landmarks.

Sentinel Peak is located in the middle of Tucson, just west of downtown and I-10. Also known as “A Mountain”, it offers views of all the mountain ranges surrounding Tucson, as well as downtown. The trip to the top and back down is about 2.5...More

Easy. It may be windy but that doesn't impede your driving. The view is worth it.
