Take the time to drive up the "A" mountain, to view the sprawling, panoramic Tucson. It's an easy drive, and you will be amazed at the size of the total Tucson area.

We could drive to this peak which was a relief. The views are worth it and the walks are relatively easy.

The drive from the city is short. It is cool to see the A that was constructed in 1915. There are places to pull off to get a view. The hick to the summit was fun but there is broken glass everywhere.

It's easy and quick to locate as it is just about 5 minutes from downtown, and offers really cool views of the city and surrounding area. Definitely worth checking out if you are here for any more than a couple days.

It could have been 1965 last night, when as a frosh at U of A they bussed us up the same road, buckets of whitewash and brushes in tow, to "paint the A." But it's now 2017 when we took the short drive, off Congress,...More

Anyone who lives in Tucson can tell you about the drive up to A Mountain. I have gone again and again. My grandchildren love it, as do I.
