Petroglyphs so close and easy to hike to. Short trail going down andt hen climbing up to go around the petroglyphs left by Native Americans centuries ago. Nice view and just a fun area to take a little hike.

Signal Hill Trail is within the Saguaro National Park. It starts with a rustic drive up and down an unpaved road when accessible. Some parts are only wide enough to accommodate a single vehicle one direction. The hiking trail is fairly short but involves negotiating...More

Driving thru the Saguaro National Park, we headed to the dirt road loop leading to Signal Hill, having heard there were petroglyphs at the top. The hike was short, maybe 1/2 mile, not strenuous at all, although there are rustic steps, lots to see along...More

The trail head is about a mile and a half on a dirt road. I drove it with my low Elantra and of course I couldn't go over 10 miles an hour, but slow and steady won the race! Lots of picnic tables and they...More

You will need to drive a couple of miles on a dirt road near the Saguaro West visitors center to get to this trail head. Plenty of parking with picnic tables and a nice out house. Short walk to where the petroglyphs are located -...More

I've lived in Tucson over 20 years, and haven't been to Signal Hill until today. Perhaps because it was a little far from Oro Valley, or maybe because it's down a dirt road. Well, nothing to fear, and it was worth the effort to make...More

This is how you get to the top of Signal hill. Short ten minute hike up a well defined trail. This is off the loop road. Some picnic sites in the parking area. Was worth it to see first hand the petroglyphs on the top.

We hiked this roughly half mile long trail from the signal Hill parking lot. It was an easy hike, some stairs. Not wheelchair friendly. There were some larger steps. The view from the top was quite nice and there were some nice petroglyphs. It was...More

Great hike! We went with a few hikers(casual to experienced). Lots or great views as you wind around the mountain peak. The best views are when you get to the top of the mountain. You can see in most directions for miles! The petroglyphs are...More

These Petroglyphs are not easy to see, as many of them have been placed at the top of a rocky mound. Once you take the steep, but short climb, there are a few more, closer to the trail. I often wonder how much longer they...More
