I only hiked part of this trail as a couple of miles in it gets much more challenging for my taste, having to climb over narrow spills of large rocks and the like. But, what section I did hike was outstandingly beautiful. It makes my...More

Here's the post I put on AllTrails. I don't want those suckers (I'd rather use an "F" in place of the "S") to get anyone else: We got our car broken into over this last weekend. I was in town visiting my wife and they...More

Starts by some houses area in North Tucson and goes up into the U.S. Forest Service - Santa Catalina Natural Area. Beautiful hike and easy to get out of the city without a long drive. Worth a visit if visiting town.

First, I'll start out by saying I am not a hiker. This trail is enjoyable and I did fine on it. My favorite time to go is in when the temperature is 60*, or below because I am not a fan of snakes. Wonderful photography,...More

Know your way, the trail to the base of the finger is hard to find so know your way, the main trail goes on for 12 miles and splits to the saddle.. Hard hike, great views.

Instead of keeping your eyes on the trail and moving, we stopped to enjoy the gorgeous view. We saw a Big Horn Sheep, grazing on the mountain side, a snake with an yellow ring around its neck. Interesting! And of course, lizards. It was tough...More

We went up with John from SW Trekking, which was far and away the highlight of our 10 day holiday. Really beautiful canyon with stunning views. Quite steep in parts. Loads of flora and fauna to be seen.
