Know your way, the trail to the base of the finger is hard to find so know your way, the main trail goes on for 12 miles and splits to the saddle.. Hard hike, great views.

Instead of keeping your eyes on the trail and moving, we stopped to enjoy the gorgeous view. We saw a Big Horn Sheep, grazing on the mountain side, a snake with an yellow ring around its neck. Interesting! And of course, lizards. It was tough...More

We went up with John from SW Trekking, which was far and away the highlight of our 10 day holiday. Really beautiful canyon with stunning views. Quite steep in parts. Loads of flora and fauna to be seen.

Great day hike. Easy access makes this a very popular trail. Uphill all the way to Mt Kimball. The first mile is gentle but then start climbing steeply. Spectacular views, very rugged. Be careful on the decent since dirt and sand makes the rocks slippery....More

Pleasant hike with amazing display of cactuses. Heard last 1/3 is tougher, and wish we had made it, but wife saw a snake, so that was it, back we went. Very easy to get to.

Finger Rock Trail is only 3 miles to the Linda Vista Lookout. The first mile is flat but the next 1.5 miles go up 1650'. Great workout but take water and be in shape.

This is a hike best not taken by novices. It is a challenging ascent to the top, an almost vertical climb towards the end. But the rewards are spectacular views of Tucson. Take lots of water and sunscreen and count for several hours of hard...More

The Finger Rock Trail is strenuous, and good for cool fall or spring days. I got quite overheated on this trail, but had plenty of water, and managed to get down without the rescue crews.
