There is no river, it’s all dry, but the paved path is excellent for either bike riding (super smooth) or just walking/running. Enjoyable and nice to not have traffic to contend with.

We were going to Tucson visiting family and planned a bike ride on the Rillito River Park trail. This is an excellent trail and welcomes all levels of cyclists, runners and walkers. There are multiple trails, one smoothly paved and the second somewhat parallel one...More

We are not experts so we enjoyed this path. It's clean, beautiful, lots of friendly people either walking, running and you can really spend a lot of time depending of your energy because it's so many miles long with wonderful sceneries and places to rest.

Tucson has created a fine paved bicycle path along the Rillito River (which is usually completely dry, except during heavy rains) in Tucson. The path is in excellent condition, well maintained, with great views and lots of easy ingress/egress points. Similarly, a fine series of...More

Wide, flat and well maintained multi use trails, part of the Tucson Loop. Don't expect much beautiful landscaping, at least in the winter it seemed pretty stark.

This paved path was perfect for our morning run. We parked near the soccer fields, and there were clean bathrooms available. There were quite a few people out running, walking, and biking. Everyone was very courteous, and exchanged several hello’s and good morning’s. :-)

We biked this path on two occasions. Day 1 we biked from Broadway to Drexel Avenue. This part of the bike path has some inclines that are very manageable. It is also off road until you reach the connector to the Harrison Road Greenway but...More

Tucson Bike Rentals has what you need. They delivered and picked up the bikes to/from our hotel. There is a 50 paved loop around Tucson. You can also bike the desert or the mountains.

Google "Tucson The Loop" and look at a map showing where restrooms can be found on the trail.

I don't recall any signs barring motorized vehicles, but I did note a sign explaining that access was for bikes, inline skating, wheelchair access, horseback riding, and walking. There was no mention of anything motorized.
