Run down area of Tucson, with little of interest. Don't waste your time walking, drive directly to the transport museum, it the only place of interest on the two plus mile walk

Take your car around. There is a dilapidated area with empty fountains, followed by nothing, continuing to the bus station surrounded by homeless and ending in a dead downtown

We thought it would be fun to walk the Turquoise Trail today to see a bit of Tucson. What a disappointment it was. While the concept of following a painted turquoise trail is great, every point on the trail was being renovated or dated. Not...More

We picked up our map at the visitors center and then drove to downtown. You can download the map online. On a hot day the walk can be a bit too much, and some of the spots were not that interesting. It's a good idea...More

It's revealing and occasionally educational to take this 2.3 minute walk through the heart of historic Tucson. Very little is actually left -- scattered historic houses, some reconstructed stuff. But with a little imagination and some patience you can mentally reconstruct the raw, simple Western...More

While this downtown trail (also called the Turquoise Trail) is well marked and has some great sights/stops, it can be pretty dire and desolate on a Sunday afternoon. Though no fault of the trail or its sights, the parts west of Stone Ave go through...More

I would recommend this for visitors and for locals. You really get to see downtown Tucson and don't realize how much you miss when you are driving. You follow the turquoise line and there's points of interests that are marked by numbers that you can...More

We hike every week, and love to make it a "city walk." We took the Turquoise Trail. Luckily we had the map from the Visitors Center, because the turquoise paint along the sidewalks is fading and sometimes totally missing. There were several interesting sights, but...More

This is a great way to learn the history of Tucson. We saw a lot of old building, historical figures and artwork along our 2.5 mile walk. If you have children they will love to follow the turquoise line. Great way to spend the morning...More

Best point to start this tour and pick-up a very detailed and informative map or the trail route and highlights is the visitor centre at 100S. Church street. Plan on at least 2 hours to complete the trail or longer if you want to explore...More
