I really wasn't impressed especially given the line people had to wait in to get in. It was around Halloween so perhaps during other parts of the year.

In Salem you tend to hear the same stories over and over. If you start at the Witch Dungeon you'll get a combination of a live re-enactment and a museum. Fun, and not too scary for the little ones.

So it's a performance theater kind of presentation with a tour. The story telling is actually well done and very interesting. Although the display is a little outdated, it does give you a good picture or visual of what these victims went through. For that alone, I think it's worth the trip. When we went in November, there weren't any... More

I have been to the Witch Dungeon several times and it remains one of my favorite places to go in Salem. The re-enactment is short but very interesting, the actors are very good and the guides are very informative. The Dungeon itself is very cool (although there are quite a few steps involved to get down to the Dungeon if... More

I give them credit for maintaining this place and having guided tours but it is not entertaining nor interesting! There is not much for children there, and for young children it is scary. For teens and adults it is something to do during Halloween but I felt that they could be more creative with explanations and maybe having people in... More

We visited the Dungeon (really a recreation of the dungeon) in November 2015 when we visited Salem. It was a very enjoyable trip back to a chilling time in American History specifically the Witch Trials. Initially you are taken into a converted church/theater where there is a stage and some actors portraying a victim and an accuser of the witch... More

We had experience the Salem Witch Museum and were not impressed. This place restored our faith in the touristy experience that my friend and I both have come to love. The tour opened in the main section of a church where we all sat. In the front of the room it was set up as a courtroom. The judge and... More

A place full of fun facts. If you want to learn a lot about the witch trails, then this is one of the places to go. You have a short guided tour but is compacted full of facts.

After paying the entrance fee, you: 1. Enter the theater and watch a reenactment of the trial. A young lady gave us the background and 2 actresses played the roles of accuser and accused-15 minutes at most. 2. Visit the dungeon (not the original one), small space with ridiculous wax figures showing different scenes of the witch hunt. 6 minutes... More
