Salem is well known for its association with the Witchcraft trials of the 1600's. However, a bus tour of the town shows its early days of trading, especially in spices. Led by an articulate and highly knowledgeable young man, Ben, we were told about the buildings and history of the town. He added interesting anecdotes about the people he mentioned... More

We were looking forward seeing a town decked out ready for Halloween but we were there with about a million other people so didn't get to see much as the queues were so long. Our driver for the day was Bob who mostly talked about himself in the third person and basically spent a lot of the time telling us... More

We had a great ride down there and back. Salem was great. We had the BEST tour guide with BOB!! He told us all the history on our ride to Salem. He Called ahead to the House Of The Seven Gables. Even got a discount. BOB gave us his phone number in case we got lost and needed to get... More

Oh dear, oh dear! Our tour bypassed Marblehead completely as the driver thought that Salem would be too busy! Then we were dumped and left to our devices. The attractions are in poor taste. Avoid.

When booking this tour all i was really interested in was visiting the witch musuem in Salem!! however this tour turned out to be so much more . Our tour guide Bob was fantastic, so knowledgeable and such a warm and friendly person. He shared all his local knowledge with us and made the day really enjoyable. Part of the... More

Be prepared to spend the full day and early evening on this fun and informative tour led by Bob. The beautiful New England coastline is a must see and the equally beautiful weather was a bonus. Salem itself was a quaint little place and the story of the witch trials was a truly interesting and sad one. Our tour guide... More

We used Grayline tours on several occasions...they even offer a great Boat tour of Boston. They have amazing employees at their office which is set up on Park Plaza. You can have coffee, food etc while waiting for the bus to arrive. On our last trip July 2014 with my husband and 2 boys we decided to try the Salem... More

The best way to get to Salem is take the ferry. You will see so much more. The locals are helpful and will give you some great advice. We had the tour guide from "bleep". Told us very little only point out costly homes and age. Additionally, he seemed to point out the obvious. He passed some historic sites and... More

You gotta love Bob. He was a fun and informative guide. What a charming character! This is a reasonably priced tour, and we especially enjoyed the Marblehead stop; beautiful. We thought the witch dungeon in Salem was laughable; you will stop here but we don't recommend a visit (not worth the extra fee, and Bob provides an excellent history of... More

This tour is listed as beginning at 9:30 and ending around 2:30 pm. We too had Bob who likes to “free style” with the tour route, destinations and most of all time. He asked the twenty of us if we had anywhere in particular to be that day before he began his tour and no one objected. We left at... More
