It is located very close to the Peabody Essex Museum right in the heart of the historic attractions. The staff was very pleasant and cordial. Make sure you see the excellent 30-minute film on the history of... More

This is the first place you need to go when you get to Salem. I wish we had stopped in before we already got started exploring.

It's an easy stop if you need to use the restrooms, and has a nice small gift shop of Salem memorabilia. One older gentleman at the desk gave us way more information than we requested, all very helpful with an interesting point of view.

We received more information on attractions from our hotel. This was just not informative and was hard to get in and out of with all the crowds.

Staff was very helpful in answering all kinds of questions. This is a good starting point for any Salem self guided tour. They have 2 films available throughout the day. I attended the film on the Witch Trials and it was informative. Access to the facility is free however there is a fee for the films. Clean restrooms are available... More

A great friendly spot to pick up info on attractions in Salem, and our favourite pit-stop after too many ciders! Thank heavens for the visitor centre toilets. You saved our bacon countless times.

When your traveling the folks of the National Park Service are there to help. The Salem Visitor Center was filled with helpful Rangers, that helped us understand the importance of the Salem sea trade of the 17 th and 18 th century. Thumbs Up

Those Shops that are smart will smile with no sleep because it means $$$ and that's why they call it a "BUSINESS" to make potential sales. Those that... More
