Parked directly across from the visitor center and stopped in before touring Salem. Well staffed and friendly, but I must say that the walking tour map of the McIntyre Historic District was a bit hard to follow.

Everyone was very knowledgeable. If they did not know an answer they found someone who did, The had a gentleman there talking about the city.

This is a great visitor's center. There were a few free films about various topics to watch, numerous brochures, and friendly staff that were able to answer every question asked!

Anyone that comes to Salem should make a stop at the visitor's Center. Here one can pick up maps, brochures, and information on the history of Salem...and one can buy publications here.

Difficult to get to. Have to pay for parking. Glorified gift shop. Salem is a convoluted town with streets in horrible shape. Check out other reviews of businesses to see if you really want to come here. That said, the wharves and customs house was...More

This was our first stop because we wanted to know what to do and where to go. They did have a great map and some brochures for other places they aren't allowed to promote. What disappointed me in the end, we were not told how...More
