Nice place to take young children

It's definitely run down, but a little piece of me loves that it hasn't changed in the 30 years I've been visiting! It definitely feels like home when I return.

I am sure that this is a lovely spot when the weather in nice..It was not somewhere I wanted to hang out on a chilly fall day. Went there to find the pop corn stand. Had to make a second trip as it is only open on Fri/Sat Sun in the fall. It was well worth the return visit to... More

The reviews on this sounded better than they were. I expected an actual amusement park; but it was mostly a couple of kiddie rides next to the beach. There is meter parking, that you have to pay for year round (I went off season) and it just wasn't worth visiting. The only thing I really enjoyed was the sunset.

Such a fun place for children with areas to rest, places to eat, arcade and even rides. I love to take my children here in the summer.

Absolutely beautiful area. The willows are so fabulous. The view is amazing but our favorite part was The Clam Shack. OMG it's to die for! Be sure to eat there....some of the BEST food in Salem.

Whether you want a walk along the ocean, or the arcade, or the park there is a little something for everyone. Multiple beaches, a fishing pier, food choices for all, arcade, basketball courts, and a band stand for all to enjoy. Despite minimal paved parking there is plenty of other parking available.

This is a nice place to visit and enjoy the outdoors, ocean, food, and recreation. I have a major complaint though. My family and I were spending the day there by the benches near the water. I had little grandchildren playing in the grass. I observed several owners with dogs just letting there pets go poop and not one picked... More

Great place to visit, cheap parking, and can have a varied experience. You can spend your time relaxing with a walk by the sea and in the park, where many people were enjoying picnics; or, for a noisier experience, spend your time around the food stalls and in the arcade with the many new and old arcade machines. Found some... More

Salem Willows has a great view of the harbor and many boats. I felt like I was stepping back 50 years. There is a "kiddy arcade" with 4 rides, including a carousel, and many individual 50 cent "rides" that last about 90 seconds. There are two other venues with countless video games for older children. One of the highlights for... More

Did not go in the amusements/arcade area but limited ourselves to a walk around the grounds and along the shore. Nice views of the harbour and boats. A lot of gulls around. A number of children's parties seemed to be taking place on the grassed areas, a couple even with barbecues. Car parking is cheap, 25c for a hour..
