Take the ride in from Salem to Downtown Boston- Rowes Wharf. Take the heat out of the summer with a simple ticket for an ocean ride and a great seat for scenery. Who knows, you might even spot a Harbor seal.

Wonderful ferry line that brought us from Boston to Salem to spend our Halloween holiday. People were friendly, helpful. Problems with Uber when we got off. Only runs until Halloween weekend.

It was a very bouncy, fun and fast trip to and from Salem. If you are prone to seasickness you may want to drive.

Definitely walkable - I'd say maybe 10 minutes? A fun alternative to walking would be to purchase an on and off trolley ticket. There's a stop close to the ferry. The tickets can be purchased online. Hope this helps!
