Attended the TDEM Emergency Management Conference at the HBG Convention Center, and the facilities were nice and well maintained. Food in their cafeteria was expensive - captive audience - and was limited in selection. What I appreciated was the conductivity. Plenty of WiFi locations and charging stations. Nice.

We had our opening meeting in the convention center and it is beautiful. It sits on the Riverwalk and has accommodations for meetings of all sizes. Even if you don't meet here, take time to walk through.

This was my second visit to this convention center and it was great. It is very large so bring comfortable shoes! The place was spotless the entire time we were here and there were over 5,000 of us. It is so spacious that you can have several large halls and plenty of individual class rooms. It would be helpful to... More

State of Texas had their annual convention this week. This place is excellent to host this convention, from Exhibit Hall to Ballrooms converted into lecture halls. Market food prices a little up but that is to be expected

I was here for a conference last week and I was impressed with (if not daunted by) the scale of this bldg. Navigation is a bit tricky if you don't know where you're going. The riverwalk (west) side of the building seemed to be a less occupied portion of the building as the the main lobby is on the opposite... More

The convention is huge. It has great meeting rooms and very clean restrooms. The food that was served was very good also.

I was presenting at the American Educational Research Association Conference which was held at the convention centre. The centre was expansive, with well appointed convention rooms. Washrooms were very clean. The only drawback was the lack of lounge seating in the expansive halls. Due to the large conference attendance, some people were forced to sit on the floor in areas... The convention center is a great venue. Not only did it have spacious meeting rooms and clean bathrooms, but comfortable sitting areas and a small restaurant where one could purchase a bite to eat.

I've been attending conferences for at least 25 years, throughout the US and Europe. Of all of the venues I've visited, this is the worst. Yes, it's big, well-built and clean, but it is horribly confusing. There are separate halls but they have the same room numbers; understandable, but please use better signage to explain where a person is, and... More

The Convention Center is conveniently located in downtown, not far from many attractions and restaurants. The Riverwalk is right next to it. It takes a bit to get your bearings if you are attending a conference there, but you get use to it quickly.
