Beautiful building housing a truly great convention center right in the heart of San Antonio River Walk. It functions very well, the staff working programs are very professional. AND as I mentioned, everything is a short walk away

However the hall is HUGE and walking it is a form of exercise. They could use more signs and directions explaining the place. You can wander it for a good 30 minutes to find what you need. Lots of restaurants and cafes as well.

Spent five days at the Gonzalez center for a convention. Roomy, great entry area, lots of available rooms for sessions. The only knock is the maps are hard to orient to. Was difficult to figure out how to get to one end of the center.

This place is huge, it seems and feels more like an airport than a convention center. It's very easy to get lost and be on the complete opposite side of where you really need to be. But what a great, giant structure.

We were at this convention center for a national meeting. Very large meeting rooms. Be prepared to do lots of walking, it is a very large place. We had the hotel next door which made it very convenient. Lots of restaurants and very close to the River Walk and the Alamo and down town.

This place was amazing! Wife and I went to the 2016 Alamo City Comicon this year and it was just awesome. I don't think they could have held this at a much better place than this. The rooms were big and spacey, enough room for the big groups and events. The staff and security were totally professional. I run a... More

Went there for AARC CONGRESS. Beautiful facility. Hall on 2nd floor with several bronze statues of famous, historical Texans. Still very hot and humid there, so some problems at times with A/C in some rooms.... I know, sounds like Goldilocks, too hot, too cold, just right... :-) Huge area for vendors, with "cushy spots" for them to stand on. Nice.... More

Attended a four day conference and the center is easily accessible and centrally located in the tourist area of the city. Easy walk to the River Walk and other attractions such as the Hemisfair. Highly recommend tis well designed center for conferences and conventions.

I attended a conference here. The place is massive with lots of meeting, convention, and trade show spaces. Be prepared for some distance walking if your conference is large. You can park in either the Hyatt parking lot or the parkade next door (the cheaper option but usually fills up quickly). Hemisfair Park and Tower of the Americas is right... More
