Reasonable stop if you're into history, but as with a number of other stops in San Antonio, if you blink you may be likely to miss it, so make sure you're looking or chance are good that you will simply stroll right by. The building...More

No palace but more of a garrison for the governor at the time. Very spanish architecture and added to the history lesson of the day.

Most people don't know or understand the Spanish history in San Antonio. Must visit to fully understand what took place in San Antonio during the earlier period of time.

Although we like free, an entry fee of $5 per person (less depending on age of visitor) seems pretty reasonable for this attraction. Very good historical commentary is written up and although they disclaim that some of the artifacts are "period-based" and not actual, it...More

Our first visit to this Small charming museum. It is quiet and self guided. It was hot as it was 100+ outside. It is inexpensive for a small museum visit that last layout one hour. The home is beautiful with a great courtyard.

Spend an hour touring the Spanish Governor's Palace. Make certain you spend time reading all the placards. The history of this location is fascinating.

The Governor's palace was occupied by several faimilies and has lots of furniture and interesting Spanish architecture and design, including the two-headed eagle on one of the chests. Memorabilia was interesting and well preserved to show what life was like many years ago. Nice little...More

I don't honestly remember the exact cost for admission, but it was not much.
