Part of the Alamo Golf Trail, this is the oldest course in the state of Texas and has been around for 101 years. It's a beautiful tree lined course, a bit narrow, but makes for a challenging and enjoyable round. They even have a Texas Golf Hall of Fame inside the clubhouse. We were there in a Saturday and we... This is the first public course in Texas. It was designed by Tillinghast (designer of some great courses from Interlochen in Minnesota to Bethpage Black in New York). For those reasons, it was worth the play. Front nine is tight with trees and sand all over the place. The sand is not in good shape. However, all 18 greens were... More

We enjoy this course every time. Great history inside to see and look at. The only thing someone not familiar with this course needs to know is that there is not a driving range to warm up on. Closest driving range is 5 miles away, so plan accordingly!

This has to be one of the prettiest public golf courses I have ever played. It is located 5 minutes from downtown, The greens and fairways were in perfect shape and the course has a lot of character. Will definitely go back!

I used to play here all the time a few years ago before they did a major renovation and jacked up the green fees. I never really had the desire to go back because I could never envision the course being on par with the other courses at this price. I got invited to play in a tourney here and... More

If you've seen my reviews of San Antonio you know that we had planned to just spend our 4 day trip on the River Walk with the misunderstanding there would be lots to see and do. Big mistake - if you don't drink or eat a lot it gets old really quickly. Hubby and I are avid golfers and didn't... More

this was an interesting course. the layout is good, but different, trees in the middle of the fairways. the tee blocks, fairways and greens are in good shape. the service in the pro shop was not very good. it has been our experience that everyone in the south is super friendly, well i guess this guy did not get the... Nice opportunity to play disc golf course. Played in a scramble format. Fun and enjoyable! Not overly hard, designed layout is fair. Would look forward to another opportunity to play this course.

Everyone needs to play the first public course in Texas. Walk the fairways the great went down. Course was designed by Tillinghast (if you don't know look him up) and a "gooder". It was redone a few years ago & in nice shape. Do wonder about the square greens? It is narrow, not long but you need to be straight... More

"Old Brack", as the locals refer to it, is an historic golf course in San Antonio, Texas. It is an old-fashioned, tree-lined course that is sometimes quirky but always fun to play. Tremendous golf history has been forged through the years at Old Brack. It is a municipal golf course that anyone can play, but many of the greats of... More
