We have lived in San Antonio and visited several times as tourists, but this was our first visit to The Cathedral. If you do not visit you are missing out on a great piece of history.

Many years ago my sister and I stopped in at St.Joseph's when we went to River Center Mall. We lit a candle and said a few prayers. This folks is how a Catholic Church is supposed to look. It's very peaceful and a good place to sit and pray or even meditate with its calming atmosphere.Makes you forget your troubles... More

40 years ago we were married here. It has not changed with beautiful stained glass and a very quiet setting to pray and enjoy what many churches used to look like and be.

St. Joseph is rich in history and is now surrounded with commercial buildings. Nonetheless its authenticity and beauty are nicely preserved. Well worth a walk through.

This church is so beautiful inside. You feel so peaceful when you enter. It has a unique history, as it remained in place when the buildings were built around it. It is in a little niche off of Commerce street in downtown San Antonio. The decor is magnificent.

My family and I walked by St. Joseph's and just peeked in a window--we didn't want to disturb anyone. However, a man inside beckoned us in and welcomed us. It's a small space but very beautiful and peaceful. Some people had come to pray on their lunch break, so we were careful not to disturb anyone. Lovely stained glass as... More

The church from the outside looks small because it's sandwiched in on all sides by Big Boy commerce. Once you get inside, however, the church is much bigger. It is evident that the parishioners are proud of their church, maintain it well, and good for them for not selling out.

Called in with the intention of saying a prayer and lighting a candle. However there was a wedding in progress. Bride looked lovely, the groom looked, well, pleased as punch. From the little we saw if the church it looked nice.

our hotel was close by so we could see it from our room. What a gorgeous church..we walked in after a service (it's not open all the time) and just wandered around and took a few pics...they have small gift shop there also. people there are friendly. Nice place to just sit and give God a thanks!!
