We enjoyed strolling through the market and eating at the Mexican restaurant there. We had been told we could barter there for goods but were basically laughed at when we tried. The things were overpriced next to other gift shops we found in the area. Still, it was nice to walk through the stalls while drinking margueritas and being amid... More

We got here early (about 10am) for a wander around and breakfast. Great spot with a noticeable Mexican influence. Definitely worth a visit to the indoor market and surrounding area.

El Mercado is a great San Antonio experience to walk around and take in the culture. Good food from street vendors and great little shops all around. I would say it's a must see in San Antonio.

The Market Square during Fiesta included live music, lots of people and added booths with vendors selling food, drink, and almost anything else in addition to the shops and restaurants located in the buildings. We enjoyed the music and the crowd!

There is always something going on the market square, vibrant colors and music, food trucks, people enjoying other people company and a lot of merchandise for every taste or desire.

Neat place to walk around - very crowded though. There were lots of live entertainment: dancing, magic show, spray paint art, etc and lots of street vendors for food and drinks.

This is not just a tourist spot but a lot of locals come here to eat and listen to live music. It's a neat little place with a lot of food and a ton of tourist shops. As a child, I spent every summer in McAllen and the market shops are similar to those in McAllen. That maybe why I've... More

Not sure how this town gets away with it, but again another place not handicap accessible. Too many steps for walkers to fall off of. Wish they would go with ramps rather than steps.

Great place to shop, walk, eat, and drink. There are plenty of Mexican food options. We took an Uber to get to this place as we weren't sure about parking. Expect a lot of people. Nice vibe/atmosphere.
