This is a great place to visit on the far far West side. We went looking for wild flowers and found a great many varieties of flowers. Very natural environment so you need to be on the lookout for snakes.

Want to be in touch with nature and have time for bonding away from technology? This is a great place nearby to accomplish this! We have a yearly pass and love it. Get your money's worth for sure

Well, most importantly, don't go during "snake season" and there will be snakes year-round. A little scary and definitely wouldn't take pets or small children. Picnic area is nice but snake issues.

When in doubt where to eat I use the near me now feature on trip adviser which shows restaurants in the area I happen to be with ratings as well as price ranges and links to websites and menus!

Your best bet is to take a picnic lunch and your own water. NO services except for bathrooms.
