This places was just a restaurant. There was nothing exciting about at least when we went. There was no charge thank God because there nothing to see.

If you like German food, beer and music, this is the place to go. Just south of downtown, the Halle and Garten serves great German food and beer, and more often than not there is some German music playing as well. There are numerous festivals here during the year, including arts and crafts for sale, and male and female choirs... More

Just like what I grew up with in the northeast USA. Bring the baby in a bassinet and grandma and grandpa for German Beere…. great food and family fun.

We had a family reunion here. It would have been great if it hadn't rained. Nice facility, but not much interior space. Good beer, etc.

Beethoven Mannerchor is the best place to experience the German heritage of San Antonio. The hospitality, German music and bier is over the top wonderful. If I lived in San Antonio I would apply for membership. Visitors are welcome without a membership.

Great place to come with a group of friends or family. We recently attended "First Friday" here ($2 admission fee) in the garten. Had an awesome schnitzel dinner, with red cabbage and fried potatoes. The pork was hand pounded and cooked beautifully. The red cabbage gets high marks. Portions are huge - took 2 plates (styrofoam, yes, but not an... More

Had a great night here for Oktoberfest and was made to feel so welcome by everyone we were sitting with at the big long table. Great music, great beer and great atmosphere. Make sure you go in October 2015!

OMG! What an awesome time. We went there for a special deal that they were putting on as part of Fiesta. We had an absolute ball at this back yard Oktoberfest. We had the best brats and sauerkraut that we have EVER had. My wife had to drag me outta here at the end of the night. There was dancing,... More

This is a German music society hall dating back to the 1860's, but every Friday night the garten opens to the public and serves everything German. We had two types of sausage, kraut, hot potato salad, streusel and German Octoberfest bier. Seating is communal style with long(25+ ft.) tables in rows where you'll get to know your neighbors really quickly.... More
