I actually made it here (and back!!!) on my bike, so am very proud of myself. There is a small interpretive center that no one was staffing in September, when we went. It had very little in it. There are picnic tables and restrooms. There...More

We stopped here after a 3.5 mile hike for lovely picnic overlooking the water, watching the seagull flight pattern...It appeared to be less traveled than south beach and we had the spot to ourselves...a peaceful location to just be, enjoy each other and nature. Takes...More

Cattle Point is a nice place to stop by and visit. You can hike out to the light house and see sweeping vistas of the southern tip of the San Juan Islands. It only takes 30-60 minutes to walk around and take in everything. This...More

We were disappointed that we couldn't get close to the Cattle Point lighthouse. The best place to currently view it is from an overlook before you teach the lighthouse access road. This was closed, apparently for restoration. A trail that looks pretty unofficial winds along...More

Not much to see here folks! You can take the short hike down to Grandmas Cove but other than that, it's not much to look at. A few white buildings, a lot of grass. Now the views are nice! The Puget Sound is lovely on...More

Interesting driftwood-strewn beaches. Major logs to negotiate to put toes on the sand/gravel!s. On a really clear day, the Olympic Penninsula should be spectacular across the water.

The currents flow in a variety of directions, so the water looks very interesting. It was nice to just sit and watch the water, very soothing and pleasant. You can see, but not walk to, the light house, FYI. The drive to Cattle Point is...More

This was our first stop on the San Juan Island Scenic Byway drive and we were blown away by the view! Fabulous views of the water and mountains all around! There is a lighthouse that you can walk to; it was under construction so we...More

If you are visiting San Juan Island, Cattle Point is one the most beautiful locations on the island. If you are a hiker, the paths are well marked and you can walk along the coast for quite a distance. One of my most favorite spots.
