This is a great spot for short or more extended hiking. During certain months, while watching would be great. Lots of history and education opportunities

It was a great spot but a little too crowded for our taste. The trails are easy and there are plenty of spots to sit at picnic tables or the rocks to look out for marine mammals swimming past.

The beautiful coastal views and the lighthouse are very easy to walk too. Many sit and wait to see the whales while enjoying the gorgeous views. There are restrooms and a dirt path ( not rocky ) with signs on how to get there. Short...More

I had a limited experience, as I kayaked there. If I had more time and the weather was better I would have explored it further. It does have a good beach to land on if one is paddling from another location.

It is a beautiful park and at low tide it has great tide pools. It is also one of the best places to see the whales from the shore.

This isn't a huge park, but it is worth a visit. We saw 6 Orcas from land - so cool! The lighthouse is small, but pretty. Lots of picnic tables, so pack a lunch. Discover Pass is needed.

Lime Kiln Point State Park has lime. It has kilns. But the original purpose for developing the land - mining and kilning lime - is secondary now. The park's real attractions are its expansive views of the Sound and old vegetation. Though we didn't see...More

what is the best way to get there from Friday Harbor without a car? we will be travelling in early May and will have a car with us on Orcas island which we are planning on leaving there for a day trip to San Juan Island unless it is better to bring the car. also, if we do rely on bike rental or public transportation is there a place nearby where we could pick up food for a picnic lunch? Thanks
