If you want to learn about Orcas or the history of the Lime Kilns this is the place to visit. If you are there during the summer months there is a good chance you will see Orcas off the light house point, they even have a hydrophone underwater so you can hear them communicating. Looking across Haro Straight you will... More

We stopped as we were driving around the Island. Beautiful lighthouse and view. Orcas were there the month before in July. We knew that but planned the kayak trip anyway and left a day on the island to explore. Well worth it.

Very scenic - the drive to, the short hike to the lighthouse and the park & lighthouse. As an added bonus there are docents/whale experts available onsite, listening for the appearances of the whales and to provide information about the rich flora and fauna found in the park. Even though there were no whales sighted off shore the afternoon we... More

We went at the end of the season and were fortunate to see about 12 whales. It was amazing and so soul warming! Beautiful day and the area is spectacular. Definitely need to hike around and see this area if you are on the island.

Great hiking area and great point to sit and watch for orcas. We were lucky the day we went to see several swim by.

We happened by the lighthouse at the right time. The volunteer is tuned to the radio frequency used by whale watching boats. She heard that some whales were making their way up the coastline and told us where to go to (probably) get the best views. She was well informed about the individual whales and whale pods.

Great place to see whales. We were able to see about 6 whales around Noon. Exciting and very easy to get to bring binoculars.

Well worth the $10 fee to see the kiln, lighthouse and walk the beautiful trails. Many people come to whalewatch but that can be done other places along the road for free. There are tables for picnics and the ladies in the information center lighthouse were friendly and informative. We really enjoyed our visit.

Great spot to view the ocean in to see orcas if you are lucky! Unfortunately we had just missed them within an hour or so! I would visit this but a minimum of once while you're on the island a definite must-see if you're going to San Juan. This is a perfect picnic spot

Beautiful park perched on Haro Strait. We saw harbor seals, a sea lion, birds. The scenery can't be beat. Lots of trails to explore. The staff on duty was crazy passionate about the whale. Incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Keep an eye on the little ones as there are some sharp drops into the water below. WEAR GOOD SHOES.
