We've been attending the SFO for almost 40 years. Last Saturday I bought tickets to Butterfly. Tickets were $310 each for 4 in the "orchestra". Got there and we were seated in the mezzanine. That's over $1,200 for 4 tickets in the mezzanine! What a...More

Saw Candide with the fam here. The acoustics are astounding, even from the nosebleed section where we sat. The moat around the orchestra pit is cool. I wonder whether it serves some technical purpose. The venue is the best of any outdoor arena I have...More

Highly organized with parking attendants directing the specific "spot" you're to park. No need to dress for the opera. We saw everything from hippie gauze dresses, sundresses, to sequined gowns with limos. The theatre has two openings on the side which allows you to enjoy...More

This is the most beautiful, unique opera house in the world. Take a tour (if you are there off season) or go to the opera if you are there during the summer. Tailgate. Take lots of pictures.

We went on the tour Sat morning and it was absolutely wonderful. So much to learn and to see. It turns out that people in Santa Fe go to because each time they interview a different person within the opera business. I can't wait to...More

We were fortunate enough to miss the Friday tour and went Saturday morning. On Saturdays the tour is free and they provide great muffins, orange juice and coffee! Now that's a deal that's hard to beat. The folks doing the tour are very helpful and...More
