Overview
More
Canyon Road is Santa Fe's historic arts district. Home to over eighty art galleries, as well as boutiques, restaurants, and historic adobe homes, it is the cultural center of Santa Fe. The galleries on Canyon Road show everything from traditional southwestern Pueblo pottery and quintessential Western art to contemporary abstraction and computer and digital art. Take time to explore; there's a little something for everyone here.

Photographers paradise, lst time went with a group to shoot the unique sculptures that line the front walk and back sculpture gardens. There are more galleries further back off the street & residences. Great ops for adobe homes, blue doors and window frames, mailboxes, whirlywig...More

Give yourself plenty of time to stroll the mile-long Canyon Road. There are galleries you can certainly skip, depending on your aesthetic, but there's a lot to see. I recommend starting at the far end and working your way down and back - then you...More

My only regret about Canyon Road is that it's so long, I never get very far. An abundance of great art - almost too much of a good thing!

Unbelievable art galleries. Couldn't understand how they all stay in business. If nothing else it's a nice walk on a pretty day. It's also a nice drive up into the hills.

I really enjoyed walking from shop to shop. Everyone was really nice, and some of them even offered our dogs treats. Some locations allow dogs to go inside. Don't miss the Tea Room at the end of the block.

Everyone needs to stroll down the heart and soul of the Santa Fe art scene. You don't have to buy, just check out all the different galleries. Many were very happy to explain the different artists and very welcoming.

We enjoyed strolling around from gallery to gallery. We were able to watch one of the artists working on his sculpture at one of the galleries.

People were walking dogs everywhere there. Well behaved dogs were allowed in some restaurants

It's a narrow road with cars and buses. I also did not see places to lock up bikes. You would be better walking as everything is right beside each other.

Likely, the hotel can arrange a rental care for you. Of course, Santa Fe is a walkers paradise so you may very well be able to walk Canyon Rd from your hotel if you are near The Plaza.
