Small children's museum on way to museum hill. Fairly standard exhibits, geared more towards younger children (6 and under). The place is quite small which limits the "exploring"; also, as others noted, staff seems more comfortable hanging out amongst themselves rather than engaging kids. If you have small children, not a bad way to get done energy out of their... More

We've been to children's museums all over - this one is one floor with loads of imaginative play possibilities. There's a water table, dress up area, wooden blocks, magnets, cozy story corner, tiny tots area, giant bubbles, rope chairlift and more. If you don't have fun, you're not trying. Outdoors is just as good. There's a music area, garden, satellite... More

I am torn as I write this review because I LOVE the Children's Museum and I recommend it to families. Unfortunately, our last experience was not great mainly because of the museum staff. We spend about 3 hours at the Museum with a group of friends for a birthday party. During that time we were scolded and lectured at least... More

The facility of the museum is adequate for a small town and very attractive, but most of the staff appeared to feel visitors were a nuisance, especially the child visitors. There were almost too many rules to assimilate , but if you forgot, a surly staff person was there to harshly remind you. My granddaughter duly noted that people should... More

The Children's Museum in Santa Fe is a very creative, interactive facility for children and adults. There are activity centers for every age child, from 0 to 24 months and up. There are stations for crafts and water works and great outdoor areas when the weather allows. There is a special small door just for children to enter the facility... More

I haven't been there for some time, but when we first moved to New Mexico I was hunting for activities to do when our kids and grandchildren came to visit. This place was on the list and our grandkids loved this place. We spent all afternoon there and had to pull them away to leave. Well worth the time.

It's a small place, not overwhelming or over stimulating, which is great for small travelers or visitors. If you've been dragging your small ones all over the plaza (in and out of those pricey shops), treat them to a few hours at the Children's Museum.

What a fun and educational time the children, my husband and I had at this little gem. It's not on the main path but one of the locals told us about it. The children really needed some fun more geared towards them and this was perfect for that. Hands on, Indoor and outdoor fun. Able to run off some of... More

Spent a late morning with our sons, 6 & 12. Climbing wall was fun for the older boy and great hands on water toys for the younger one. Nice outside area too with plants and a big area with kid sized shovels to dig. Museum is small, and price seemed high ($36 for the 4 of us).

Much smaller and much more expensive than other children's museums we have visited in several other states. There were a few neat things we hadn't seen before, but not enough for 9$ per person any age. The manager seemed to talk down to children asking questions. A worker told us to go outside to paint a picture frame. When we got... More
