We drove up (you can also walk) and spent some time. Sunset was beautiful, I recommend it if you are looking for something to do.

Only a short walk (20 minutes) from the main Square, the view is wonderful. From here you can see the surrounding area. During the hike up the paved path, you will learn about the history of the region from the installed signage.

From here you can get a nice view of the city on a clear day & there are over 200 of those a year. Worth the short walk from the plaza.

Our hotel was walking distance to the Cross of the Martyrs. This is an interesting hike and leads to another park. There are plaques that provide an overview of the history of the city.

Did you know that there is an "original" Cross of the Martyrs too? This one is metal, the "real one" is cement. Nice views from both. Safe, but sometimes a hangout for stoners, teens and "others" ... Have fun!

A short and easy walk with the added value of some commanding views and a chance to I up pull learn about the short-lived Fort Marcy where a shot was never fired. Nice, but not a must-see.

If you want a good view of the City and don't want to pay to go to one of the hotel cocktail lounges this is it. I commemorates the Catholic priests that were killed in the Native uprising in 1680 and is used for various religious processions. The walk up the stairs is somewhat strenuous, especially if you are not... More
