This was our first trip to Santa Fe, and as we love Museums, we did plan on visiting as many as we could. Looked at the maps, and made our plans for the day (6/5). In the morning, we would visit the Museum of International...More

Lets get the main facts out first. This exhibition is superbly organised and the range and scope of the exhibits are truly amazing. The skill and quality of many of the minature displays leaves one shaking one's head in disbelief. The problem is that one...More

I loved this museum. Could have spent much more time there, if travel schedule allowed. It's not "just" paintings on a wall; much--if not most--exhibits are objects. And so many!! Kids seemed to really enjoy it. Wish I'd gone there, and the next-door Native American...More

I found the collections in this museum truly fascinating and unique. I would, however, recommend taking the free guided tour which gives you perspective and adds to your enjoyment. A must do !

I loved all of the exhibits on view here - they were expertly researched and presented. I learned a tremendous amount and felt inspired at the same time. The Girard gallery was a bit overwhelming with its kitschy mix of eclectic collections and I wish...More

I did not know what to expect with this type of museum. Was pleasantly surprised. They have guided tour but they go into so much detail that I finally wandered on my own. Strange objects get turned into "art," that is for sure. Entertaining place....More

This place is pretty overwhelming and somewhat hard to make sense of. I highly recommend taking a free docent-lead tour -- I think we got a much better appreciation than if we had wandered through on our own.

I guess I didn’t know what constituted folk art so it wasn’t exactly what I expected. It was interesting. A little sensory overload in one gallery. But the gift shop has some very nice offerings and the museum campus is worth visiting on its own....More
