Like a number of places in touristy Santa Fe, the New Mexico Museum of Art is refreshingly unpretentious. It's a laid back, amiable, low-key home of a wide range of art that depicts the state and the region. The staff is friendly, the main collection contains fine representative art since the museum's founding in 1917, and many of the special... More

Nice architecture with wooden beams inside. Frescoes on outside. There is a whole gallery of Georgia O'Keefe. Wooden carvings are nice both museums for $16.

We really enjoyed the exhibits at the Museum. Be sure to go when there is a docent tour, it really enhances the experience!

Interesting works and displays shown in wide spacious galleries. Interesting information displayed about the building of the Museum and it's role inspiring the architecture of Santa Fe.

This museum has a great collection of art. Make sure you get the two for one ticket so that you can go to the Georgia O'Keeffe museum too!

The building itself is worth the visit. The galleries are small compared to major art museums like the Denver, but the art is first-rate. Fascinating special exhibits occur frequently.

Focused largely on temporary exhibits of Southwestern artists and artistic trends (of varying quality and interest), this museum also has a pleasant modern sculpture garden. But the building itself, a masterpiece of Territorial architecture, outshines almost anything that hangs on the walls. Make sure to spend time in the courtyard and notice the carved and painted lintels.

Thank Sandy S
