The New Mexico Museum of Art has a good variety of works from artists who flocked to New Mexico like Gustave Baumann, as well as other exhibits like American Modernism. We had a docent led tour from a former art teacher which was excellent.

We went to a very interesting Georgia O'Keefe exhibit that helped to tie her work to the environment in which she lived. It was not a huge exhibit but we learned alot. It is worth noting the interesting architecture of the building itself. The museum gift shop is a great place to purchase gifts. I brought home handpainted bookmarks by... More

Santa Fe Pro Musica performed Bach's Brandenburg Concertos in St. Francis' Auditorium. Lovely venue and wonderful performance. Couldn't have been better.

This is an excellent museum with a lot of different areas of art that has something for every one. They give a free tour that the guide will tailor to your interests. His presentation helps bring the art alive.

Georgia O'Keeffe was featured. We purchased a 'two fer' admission at the Georgia O'Keeffe museum and visited both in sequence. This show had some stunning Georgia O'Keeffe paintings as well as a long running show of Gustave Baumann's woodcut prints upstairs. The museum building is interesting in itself. See the video near the gift shop. Photography is not permitted, which... More

Like a number of places in touristy Santa Fe, the New Mexico Museum of Art is refreshingly unpretentious. It's a laid back, amiable, low-key home of a wide range of art that depicts the state and the region. The staff is friendly, the main collection contains fine representative art since the museum's founding in 1917, and many of the special... More

Nice architecture with wooden beams inside. Frescoes on outside. There is a whole gallery of Georgia O'Keefe. Wooden carvings are nice both museums for $16.

We really enjoyed the exhibits at the Museum. Be sure to go when there is a docent tour, it really enhances the experience!
