We loved the sets and tour. It's not intended for those looking to relive every movie's detail that was filmed at the ranch but to rather understand the process that goes on behind the scenes of many movie sets. Walk into the tour to just have a fun afternoon and you won’t be disappointed. We were most impressed with our... More

We are movie buffs. We have visited film locations of our favorite movies, and loved it. Not this time. We scheduled a private tour with a guide named Mike. He was a very nice man, but could not tell us any movie filmed in any particular building. He would say it was impossible to know. We know that should not... More

It's a movie old west town, lots of movies were filmed there. Cowboys and aliens ,and many more. We had to call and get a tour guide, it's $25.00 a person. We'll worth it , he showed us everything and the ranch it self was huge. We spent about 3 hours , it was fun . We learned so much

Because it is not open to the public like an amusement park, I recommend contacting the ranch as see what they have to offer that you would like to experience. Pre-planning is key for a great experience.

Put on your side arm and mosey on into the saloon. This set is the real deal! Mike Hugg gave us a most delightful tour of the property and others. You have to see it. We were sad it ended.

Want to see where Hollywood makes some of it's magic...this is the place to be! Several movies and TV shows were/are filmed here....over 100 in the past few years to be exact. Cowboys and Aliens, a Million Way to Die in the West, Astronaut Farmer to name a few.

This western ranch, and the two others in the area, are commercial businesses that are available to hire for films, corporate events, weddings etc. It is not open to the public, however I see that some people have had a bit of luck in that respect and got in on a slack day. Lucky them!

I was rather disappointed. Turned out to be more of a history lesson of the old west than anything really about movie/ production filmed there. Only got to go into a few buildings. Michael who took us around said that he isn't really around when any filming is being done, so he could not say much about that when any... More

My son knew Mrs. Hughes from filmmaking, so we decided to go up there and look around. It is so interesting--both for it's authentic western buildings and flavor, but also after your visit you'll recognize these buildings in such films as 3:10 to Yuma, Lonesome Dove, Walker Texas Ranger, Young Guns, and Wild Hogs. You will have a ball visiting... More

Called on a whim and Imogene Hughes, owner of Bonanza Creek Ranch, arranged a tour for us. Our guide Michael H conducted an excellent tour of the movie set. He provided insight into the history of the ranch, the movie sets, and movie production (from story boarding to filming to editing)… I highly recommend a visit to Bonanza Creek Ranch.
