Went to visit the falls last Sunday, gate to park was closed despite posted hours indicating it should be open! Disappointed! My research showed it should have been a nice place to visit! Better luck next time I guess!

Joe and Anthony did the extra to accommodate me, great camp personnel/park rangers. Thank you guys for making my first time stay enjoyable. Park was nice, very busy. Lots of people walking their dogs, hiking to falls and lots of children playing. I stayed on campsite 2 and it was right next to the creek. It was busy though with... More

Driving the High Road to Taos we saw a sign advertising the falls so decided to stop and take a look. Initially we drove to the lake but that was a bit disappointing as there wasn't much to see, and the road just dead-ended, however the hike up to the falls viewpoint was fairly easy (steep in places) and the... A easy hike to the top of the falls that drop three times. It's currently $10 a vehicle and if your are ao inclined there's a lake for fishing and picnic grounds as well.

Today we joined the ranks of people who have attempted to visit Nambe Falls only to find a "closed for the season" sign at the end of the lengthy off-the-beaten-path road. Extremely disappointing. Spend the day at Bandolier instead.

Although the web site says the falls are open, we took the drive this Friday, August 8, and they were closed. Yes, we called the info line. Yes, the recording said the falls were open. No, there was no sign saying the falls were closed at the beginning of the road. That would have been too considerate. We had to... More

This is really outside of Santa Fe, a little drive. They are not the most impressive falls in the world, but they can't all be, can they? It is a beautiful wilderness and a nice little hike. Could be steep for some. We enjoyed it very much. We would have stayed longer, but it was a stop along the way... More

The scenery on the way to the falls is really nice. The 15 minute hike to the overlook is a bit steep but very pleasant. The falls themselves are not very impressive. Worth the trip but not as interesting as tent rocks or Ghost Ranch.

We heard about this place from a friend and I have to say, my husband and I had no idea there was such a great camping spot so close to us (in Albuquerque)! It is just a couple of streets past Buffalo Thunder resort and then 8 miles up the trail to the ranger station. Nambe offers many great campsites,... More

The last I heard, the lake was still closed. A forest fire in the watershed has resulted in a continuing flow of debris into the lake. They dredged the lake once, and it filled again. However, the debris settles in the lake, so the waterfall and the ponds and the stream are all clear. You hike up the stream and... More
