Ten Thousand Waves is inspired by the great Japanese mountain hot spring resorts. Ten minutes from downtown Santa Fe, but only minutes from the National Forest, there is nothing quite like this on the North American continent. Among piñons and junipers are beautiful outdoor hot tubs and spa suites, world-class bodywork & skin care, and the amazing izanami restaurant. For a lucky few, it is the closest lodging to the Santa Fe Ski area.

During my wonderful stay at Santa Fe - lovely Rosewood hotel, fantastic Shiprock gallery etc - had this spa on my Santa Fe to do list. Prebooked a table at the restaurant and walked in for an access at the spa. "Welcome" at the spa by the front desk lady was so terrible that I cancelled immediately all my plans... More

Beautiful facility, clean and aesthetically pleasing. Good technicians. Bathroom, locker facilities are very small and minimal but sufficient. Grounds are beautiful. I'd return again

I love this place and dream of it when I don't have a chance to visit. The therapists are all top of the line. The atmosphere is soothing and it always smells really good. Soak in a hot tub if you have some time and stay as long as you can.

Be sure to pack a swim suit or trunks since it's not clothing optional. I rented a pair which was fine. Very nice communal pool for soaking in hot water. Relaxing outdoor foot spa and waterfall and koi pond. Also, have a relaxing area to lay down and listen to soothing music. If you want to massage, book before you... More

Thanks for your nice words. Actually, every hot tub and sauna except the Grand Bath is clothing optional--this includes all private tub/sauna complexes, women's communal tub, before hours communal tub for lodging guests, and the lobby sauna. That said, the Grand Bath requires at least suit bottoms to foster a more ecumenical vibe--it's a great place for couples, singles, and... More

I treated my daughter and daughter in law to a spa day! We relaxed in a pric=vate hotter, complete with a plunge pool and sauna! After that, we had foot soaks, massages, and enjoyed shopping in the beautiful gift shop, leaving with lotions, potions and scrubs. On to the Japanese restaurant for a wonderful ramen bowl....ready for 2017!

We experienced a private hot tub on a cold evening, massage and the restaurant and all were wonderful. The restaurant is particularly good - no fish, which was fine with me. Great atmosphere and food.

It was our first couple's spa experience and it was amazing! We got our own private bath suite, and it blew our minds! Our own outdoor tubs, sauna, cooling room and traditional Japanese baths were an amazing experience. They had some really good items at their store/boutique too. This made our anniversary vacation/trip really wonderful and relaxing.
