Overview
More
Ten Thousand Waves is inspired by the great Japanese mountain hot spring resorts. Ten minutes from downtown Santa Fe, but only minutes from the National Forest, there is nothing quite like this on the North American continent. Among piñons and junipers are beautiful outdoor hot tubs and spa suites, world-class bodywork & skin care, and the amazing izanami restaurant. For a lucky few, it is the closest lodging to the Santa Fe Ski area.

From the moment you arrive at Ten Thousand Waves, the Japanese spa on the mountain above Santa Fe, the outside world just disappears. It is fine-tuned without feeling slick. The greeting is nice but unobtrusive. You are treated as a guest, given the amount of...More

We went this past week and thoroughly enjoyed the Grand Bath. We had adults, a teenager and a 9yo and it was very relaxing. My back went into spasm the day before arriving in SF so the grand bath with the cold plunge was EVERYTHING!...More

Construction means new stuff! New in July--two lodging rooms--Spring Moon and Bessou New in August--two fantastic new private/communal tubs--New Wave and Shin Kobuta We try to do construction before opening, weekdays, and in slow times, so chances of being disturbed are minimal. More good news:...More

Ten thousand waves had a lot to offer and the three of us were pleased with our spa treatments which included a deep tissue massage and facial. The setting is beautiful. However, aside from our treatments, I was disappointed with the overall experience. I found...More

They tried to be Japanese kinda but very disappointed. Room was a stinking, small uncomfortable bed, even room doesn't have a bathtub. If no bathtub in the room, they should allow the hotel guest to use their all public bathtub or private bathtub all day...More

This was my second time staying here. The setting is peaceful, clean and lens itself to total mindfulness. The cabins are well appointed but not fussy. The therapists who work there are top notch.

All the wonderful reviews don't do it justice. Once you're blissed out -- stay for lunch at Izanami. Sit outside and enjoy the mountain view and the breeze.

My answer would be that they would welcome all spa appointments even if you are not staying at the Ten Thousand Waves Hotel facility. Call them to set something up I believe they will be helpful.
