Ten Thousand Waves is inspired by the great Japanese mountain hot spring resorts. Ten minutes from downtown Santa Fe, but only minutes from the National Forest, there is nothing quite like this on the North American continent. Among piñons and junipers are beautiful outdoor hot tubs and spa suites, world-class bodywork & skin care, and the amazing izanami restaurant. For a lucky few, it is the closest lodging to the Santa Fe Ski area.

The private hot tub room we reserved, treatment rooms and staff are all excellent. The only reason for 4 star rating are the locker rooms and relaxation room which are more 3 star. All of the staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgable. The restaurant is...More

It is a nice commercial operation, no more, no less. It was well organized but lack of personal attention. We had a three hour Nippon Nirvana package - what it really means was 50 mins facial, 25 mins head and neck and 25 mins foot...More

I've been a regular for over 10 years and attended the tubs almost weekly. I've tried the new communal tub twice, once after they opened, then again after they made additional renovations. I won't be going back. You accidentally built a children's pool. At 1.5...More

Went for a soak and totally relaxed. The staff is very friendly and helpful. If the hot tub gets too hot, there's a cold pool, but we didn't try it. The soaking tub was wonderful and the grounds and location are lovely.

When you live in Los Angeles it's important to get out of town and pamper yourself regularly. So when we're in Santa Fe we enjoy taking a few hours to treat ourselves to a private hot tub and couple's massage! Love the koi pond and...More

We went to Ten Thousand Waves after running a half marathon in Santa Fe. It was perfect! We just chose the cheapest bath package with the communal hot tub, cold plunge and sauna. We also had access to a foot bath and relaxation room. For...More

The nicest treat you can give yourself while you visit Santa Fe. I only did the women's hot tub, which has a sauna and a cold dunk pool as well. I spent several hours going in and out of everything several times. It was a...More

Stayed at Ten Thousand Waves for three nights and loved every minute of it. Only a few miles outside of Santa Fe, but feels like another world. Baths were beautiful, relaxing, and clean. Each private bath is set up for you before you enter, so...More

If I could rank Ten Thousand Waves higher than a 5 I would. My (female) friend and I spent half a day there and we only left so we could also enjoy the restaurant. This spa came recommended by 3 of our friends and the...More

Is there a way to enter the place and/or Spa without climbing those steps. Maybe parking on the higher level?

Of course. You can park on the upper level or use any of the call boxes in the lower lots to request a shuttle.
