Our group was scheduled to visit the NM State Capitol Building. Great looking building. Wonderful in the roundhouse with the state flag in the terrazzo floor and marble walls. Our tour guide was wonderful and could not expect any better. Very educational tour.

We spent 45 minutes here looking at the incredible amount of artwork. It will put your home capitol to shame. No security issues to worry about, just walk in the front door, get a brochure from the desk and wander. Worth it.

The current temporary exhibit features mixed media, and is a wonderful place to enjoy the wonders of local artists. Throughout the building you can see hundreds of examples of New Mexican art. All are welcome; simply sign in at the information desk.

The State Capitol is open to the public and has the state seal in the floor as well as a lot of art and New Mexico flavor. It is worth a quick look.

Beautiful NM art work displayed throughout the halls and rooms of the building. The House and Senate chambers were plain and all business.

While visiting Santa Fe, someone recommended the Capitol to see beautiful native American art for free. So true! There was all types of painting, statues, fabric, 3-D designs, ... too much to mention. We even bought Christmas ornaments from the Governor's office to remind us...More

Even if you only have a few hours in Santa Fe, this is a must stop. They have 3 floors of exquisite art on display. Don't miss the governor's collection on the 4th floor. It's open to the public.

I did not notice wheel chairs. There are adequate elevators and east access to the chamber so limited walking is required and no stairs to climb.

The best parking is across the street from the round house, I believe that is Galisteo street. That way you won't have to worry about feeding a meter. Enjoy your trip and Welcome to Santa Fe!
